Special rubber sheets play an important role in many industrial fields. However, the maintenance of their performance is closely related to the correct storage method.
First of all, the ambient temperature and humidity have a significant impact on the storage of special rubber sheets. The ideal storage temperature should generally be controlled between 10℃ and 25℃. If the temperature is too high, it may accelerate the aging process of the rubber sheet, causing it to lose its original elasticity and toughness; if the temperature is too low, it may cause the rubber sheet to become hard and brittle. In terms of humidity, it should be kept at a relatively low and stable level to avoid a humid environment to prevent the rubber sheet from getting damp and moldy, affecting its quality.
Secondly, the cleanliness of the storage place is crucial. Rubber sheets should be stored in a clean, dry and well-ventilated place, away from dust, oil and chemical corrosive substances. Because dust and oil may adhere to the surface of the rubber sheet and penetrate into the interior, affecting its performance; and chemical corrosive substances may react chemically with rubber and cause serious damage to it.
Furthermore, the stacking of special rubber sheets is also particular. Long-term overlapping stacking should be avoided to avoid excessive pressure between the rubber sheets, causing the rubber sheets to deform. If stacking is required, it is recommended to place an isolation pad or bracket in the middle to relieve pressure.
In addition, special rubber sheets should be kept away from direct sunlight. Long-term exposure to sunlight will damage the molecular structure of the rubber sheet and reduce its performance. Therefore, it is best to store the rubber sheet indoors and take shading measures, such as drawing curtains or using blackout cloth.
Correct storage methods can extend the service life of special rubber sheets and ensure that they can perform at their best during use. Understanding and mastering these storage knowledge is of great significance to both manufacturers and users.
